TESTIMONIES & PRAYER REQUEST
A few days after my daughter was born, I received an urgent call from her pediatrician asking us to come in. At that appointment, we were told she had been diagnosed with sickle cell disease, and my heart sank.
In that moment of distress, I went to church and asked for prayer, choosing to trust God even in uncertainty.
Afterward, we repeated the blood test, and the results showed she only carries the sickle cell trait, not the disease.
This experience reminded me how powerful prayer is and how great God is.

Victory in Praise Church has been a consistent source of support and encouragement in my life, where I felt welcomed from the very beginning. It is a place where people not only gather to worship but also build meaningful relationships and grow in faith together. The monthly events create opportunities for fellowship, laughter, and genuine connection, helping me truly feel like I belong. Wednesday Bible study has deeply strengthened my relationship with Jesus and enriched my understanding of God’s word. Victory in Praise Church has become more than a place I attend it is my church family, where I continue to grow spiritually and find encouragement in my walk with Christ.

When my daughter was born, her shoulder was injured during delivery and she couldn’t move her arm. The doctors told us she might not regain full use of it, which was so hard to hear. But we trusted God through it all, and within 4 months. God completely restored her arm. Today she’s a happy, healthy little girl.
Thanks be to God.

For a period of 2-3 months, I was waking up with a stiff sensation in both of my index fingers. They also felt swollen and sore. I didn’t know what was happening, and it was worrisome. I thought it might be a circulation issue or even arthritis, so I made an appointment with my doctor.
He didn’t say much, but gave me a requisition for a blood test to check for rheumatoid arthritis. I was nervous I had the papers from the doctor but never went to my appointment.
Over the course of about a month, I prayed to God many times. I told Him I didn’t want to go forward with the tests and that I believed He could heal me.
I didn’t even notice when the symptoms stopped appearing, but now, a year and a half later, I haven’t experienced any of those symptoms again.
Glory be to God, I truly believe He healed me.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
Just as in the days of the apostles, many today face sickness, affliction, and spiritual oppression. In the bible, God entrusted His apostles and the believers of that time with power over sickness, disease, and unclean spirits. We believe that this same power is still at work in the Church today, and we at Victory in praise church have witnessed God’s healing touch and deliverance firsthand. (John 14:12)
The Bible provides us with the keys and the authority to overcome all sickness through the power of Jesus Christ. We believe that divine healing is available to every believer through the laying on of hands and the prayer of faith. ( Mathew 10:1, Matthew 18:18, Luke 10:19, Mark 16:17-18, James 5:14-15, 1 Peter 2:24, Philippians 2:9-10)
The Scripture declares:
“And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.” - James 5:15
YOU ARE NOT ALONE
Many of us come from imperfect homes and troubled backgrounds. Many of us have battled alcohol addiction, drug addiction, anxiety, or fear. Some of us were suicidal, depressed, broken, and unsure of where to turn. Many of us wrestled with questions about God, felt lonely, or searched for something more in life.
Our stories may be different, yet they share a common thread:
We were once standing at the same crossroads you are standing at now.
We, too, had to take a step of faith.
We, too, had to go against the current of this world and follow the leading of God’s hand.
We are an imperfect people who have come to know a perfect God and through Him, we have found hope, healing, and relationship.
If God saw us, he sees you
